What type of magnesium is best for sleep?
Magnesium bisglycinate or magnesium glycinate
When to consume?
30-60minute before sleep
How much bisglycinate you should take?
That depends on who you’re and for what purpose you’re taking magnesium supplements.
What is Magnesium ?
More than 300 chemical reactions depend on magnesium, it’s a mineral human body need to function properly. It helps regulate the body’s calcium and blood sugar levels and it’s vital for the body’s production of protein. It’s especially important for a healthy cardiovascular system, nerves, muscles and bones.
Are you getting enough magnesium?
The recommended daily amount of magnesium – 320 milligrams (mg) a day for women and 420 mg a day for men – isn’t difficult to take in through a healthy diet.
Whether you’re getting enough magnesium or not depends on what you’re consuming and what is your activity level. For example look at the picture below, it was my first meal for today..

(grilled meat with vegetables) – It’s a grilled meat with some vegetables. Does this food have any magnesium?
I asked my application to track all the nutrients

950 calories, 70grams of protein50 grams of carbs, 55 grams of fat, 8 grams of fiber but how much magnesium this food have?
To see the magnesium value, I have to add this food to the log then scroll down

It says 90 grams of Magnesium so I have 90 grams of magnesium from my diet but I should have 420mg per day 420 – 90 = 330mg I should get it from supplement.
So how much supplement you should consume depends on what you’re getting from your diet. I strongly recommend people to get all your nutrients from real food. And only in case you are not meeting through food then consume supplements under one condition!
How to consume Magnesium supplements?
Magnesium bisglycinate is a water-soluble mineral which means you can consume with water.
What happen if you consume more magnesium than what I need?
Our body typically excretes excess magnesium but remember exceeding can some time overwhelm your system and may experience mild gastrointestinal discomfort, diarrhea or Nausea.
Always consult with your Doctor before taking any supplements, that’s the condition.
