Behind every successful man there is a woman and that woman is my mother

Recently, I found myself thinking about a simple but uncomfortable question: “I was raised by my mother but what if my father was raising me instead?”

Anyway this blog is about my mother who raised me, feed me, love me, beat me and the life lesson I learned from what happened to her.

The Phone Call That Changed Everything

When I was 30 I moved to a different country for work. Life felt exciting because I have a good job, money and full freedom. I started enjoying myself—parties, booz, late night dinner but one Saturday morning I got a call from my father…

He said “Jobi… your mother has been admitted to the hospital.”

I froze. “What happened, dad?” “She collapsed suddenly.”

I couldn’t believe it because in my mind my parents were supposed to stay healthy forever.  “Did she have any problems before?” I asked.

“No,” he said “She was absolutely fine.”

If she was absolutely fine then why ?

The Question No One Was Asking

When people go to the hospital, doctors do what they are trained to do:
they stabilize the situation. They give medicine and that is important. But most people assume that once medicine is given, the problem is solved forever but I couldn’t accept that.  I knew one thing clearly:

If we didn’t understand why my mother collapsed suddenly, the same thing could happen again. You don’t need any special degree to understand the following fact..

If a bottle has holes in it and you keep pouring water inside, the bottle will never fill up.  It doesn’t matter how much water you pour. It will keep leaking out.

First, you have to close the holesOnly then can the bottle hold water.

Health works the same way. My mother’s collapse wasn’t random. Something had been building up long before that day. That was the question no one was asking…

What Root-Cause Healing Really Means

Root-cause healing isn’t about fighting symptoms. It’s about understanding what created them. Symptoms are messages.  When you understand the message, the body no longer needs to repeat it.

Doctors are essential they save lives. But root-cause healing asks the next question: What habits, patterns, or lifestyle factors created this problem in the first place?

When you change the cause, you change the outcome.

“Everything Is Normal… But I Still Don’t Feel Right”

I heard this from many of my clients “I did everything to lose weight, I am eating less to lose weight but…..”  That’s what my father said as well “Doctors will take care” but I am not buying that story because doctors are not here to find the root cause or give you a permanent solution. They give you temporary fix.

When you have pain, they give you pain killer. They are not trained to find the root cause(what made that pain?)

That’s exactly what I was asking – what made her collapse?
And today, that’s what I help my clients do especially those who tell me:

“My checkup results are normal, but I still don’t feel right.”

Whether it’s weight gain, insulin resistance, thyroid issues or ongoing fatigue, we look deeper—beyond reports and numbers to understand what your body is trying to tell you.

Hope you find this post valuable.

Have a great day
